Many Professionals In The Cannabis Field Believe That THCV Could Be One Of The Biggest Cannabanoids To Be Discovered.

What Is THCV?

THCV is one of 113 recognized cannabinoids that come from cannabis. It is a substance that has found favor in the past few years in the US since its distribution was legalized by the passage of the 2018 Farm Act. While this substance, whether derived from cannabis or hemp products has been used for thousands of years, only recently has some of its benefits come to light. With the sale of CBD oil in most US states, many people in the very near years to come will be taking THCV for the following reasons;

– Reduce Anxiety

– Lower Pain

– Reduce Inflammation

– Affect Movement Disorders

– Improve Cognitive Function

– Lower Blood Sugar

How THCV Works

The THCV is a substance quite similar to the natural cannabidiol elements found in the human endocannabinoid system. This means that the body itself produces cannabidiol in small amounts to help regulate sleep, pain, and some cognitive function. The addition of THCV boosts the ability of the body to lower the effects of pain and inflammation, increase the feelings of relaxation, and reduce anxiety among its other effects.

Once taken, CBD works with the body’s endocannabinoid system to lower pain and inflammation, induce relaxation, along with having other effects on the mind and body. The overall effect delivered when taken in recommended doses is mild, but it can be used when needed with little fear of addiction.

It should be noted that despite the many thousands of years this substance has been in use, current studies and research on its full effects are mostly in the preliminary stages. What studies have been performed along with the anecdotal evidence is that THCV contains few unwanted side effects when taken in recommended dosages.

How to Take THCV

 The multiple ways of taking THCV has led to an entire industry being developed in the past few years to deliver this substance. It’s growing popularity is based in large part on the promise to deliver pain relief in a form that is less addictive and dangerous compared to some of the stronger prescription medications on the market. Another attribute is how it causes a relaxing feeling that reduces anxiety and creates more focus.

THCV or tetrahydrocannabivarin,  should not be confused with THC, a substance that creates the feeling of being “high” when taking marijuana products. In the US, cannabidiol is only legal for sale if it comes from hemp, a substance that contains relatively little THC.
